Speech about english has an important role in communication

ENGLISH HAS AN IMPORTANT ROLE IN COMMUNICATION

Excellency juries, respected committee of English speech contest , the MC and all audience..

Standing here before you first of all, I wish a good morning and peace be on you all.

In the name of Allah the all merciful, the all compassionate.  All praises and thanks due to Allah the master of the universe. Peace and solution be upon to Prophet Muhammad SAW, as the last messenger who has given us from the darkness to the lightness of Islam . I bear witness that there is no worthy of worship except Allah SWT and I bear witness that Prophet Muhammad SAW is Allah’s messenger.

I’d like to say thanking to the MC and committee of this English speech contest for giving me a chance to deliver my speech today. Today I come up with the theme about “English has an important role in communication”

Dear ladies and gentlemen, brothers and sisters.

As we know English is the first language of United Nations and of many others international organization. Because the most widely used language in the world is English, its mother tongue for more than 400 million people.

In fact, English is most commonly used language in business, commerce, administration, government, and social life.

Today English is very important in our life. Because English as a bridge to connect all countries in the world. Therefore, we should be able to speak English well .

Dear ladies and gentlemen, brothers and sisters.

As students, we have to master English well . Please be self confidence  and keep promise whenever, wherever, inside, outside the classrooms only speak in English to be a habit . Therefore please say whatever you can say in English by doing English communication not only  with your friends and your teachers, but also with your family ,although  only a sentence, but it should be practiced on daily life . Don’t worry to have any mistakes . Because English without practicing is nothing.

Dear brothers and sisters?

Do you know the ways or the tips to study English ?

Well,  brothers  and sisters .

We can study English through doing 4 English skills :

1.       Listening ,  such as : listening western  song , English story, English news from radio or TV and English lesson given by the teacher in the classroom, etc.

2.       Speaking , such as practicing communication on daily life not only with our friends, our teachers, our family but also with foreign tourist/native speaker from outside country.

3.       Reading , such as ; reading an English news paper, an English magazines and other English articles, etc.

4.       Writing , such as : writing diary, SMS , twitter and FB ,etc.

The conclusion of my speech today that is we have to do always developing our English skill as students on daily activities. Because today English is the second language for us .Remember this saying “there is a will there is a way”. So as students we should have motivation to master English by practicing 4 skills ,these are Listening, speaking, reading, and writing .  As Liem Kiat Boey said in this book “Language is a habit”. Therefore we have to practiced, practiced, practiced English on daily life .

That’s all my speech today, and I hope it will be very useful for us ,moreover if there are any harmed words, please forgive me, I beg your pardon and it will be very excited if another time, I’l be with you again, thanks for your attention .
